Cheer/Gymnastics Moms, or anyone else that wants to give me ideas

Competitive Cheer is new to us this year.  Jordyn has been doing high school cheer for 3 years now.  The last competition of the season is coming up the first weekend in March.  I am never at the gym, so rarely interact with the other parents, and the competitions, have 2 littles ones I am corralling.  We got an email today that they have all the parents bring in 21 of 1 item for a spirit box they give the girls after the last competition and asked that we email the lady and let her know what we'd like to bring in, etc.  I have no idea what to do, and all she threw out there was lip gloss, socks, etc.  Each cheer competition so far moms go out and put bags together on their own for every girl on the squad, so at every competition Jordyn has come home with 1, 2, sometimes 3 bags worth of stuff, ranging from a handmade jeweled water canteen with the gym's name and logo on it, to a hand painted ceramic necklace with the team colors and girl's name, to as simple as a water bottle and snacks for after the competition.  So I am a bit awestruck (first of all at the effort and expense put into these bags) and a bit mystified as to what to do.  I am going to ask Jordyn for her suggestions when she gets home tonight, but I just through I'd see what others have had the experience of (if any).  Thanks a ton!!

Wow, that is something. No advice though. That is new to me. It does seem cool, if it were a "before the big game" thing. I hope you let us know what happens!!!

Thanks Ramona. My SIL, who is much more creative than I am, came up with a bunch of great suggestions. I passed them along to Jordyn and we are going to talk this weekend to decide what we want to do.

Tracy, our swim team relays do something similar. Each relay member gives the other three members of the relay a gift. Last season Megan found inexpensive cotton shorts and we bought iron on letters at Michael's and put the girls' names or initials on them. What about an inexpensive cosmetic bag or tote for the girls to put makeup, hair stuff, etc in? We've done towels with names on them too though that might not be relevant to your situation. Megan got a Vera Bradley id case one year. I checked it out online later and they were sale patterns that cost about $6 a piece.

We actually looked at a few of these options. My SIL found me a ton of cute stuff on ebay and some wholesale site she uses and there were around $2.50-3.00 each, so it would have been around $75.00 total. I am going to keep them in mind for next year when Jordyn moves up to the level 5 senior team which will only have about 12 members and I can put more thought and planning into it. We ended up doing chocolate suckers. I'll have to pull a picture of them to post, they turned out really cute!
