Pimple like bump on side of breast

I first noticed it while in the hospital after dd was born, before my milk came in.  It just looked like a pimple at that time. so I was not at all concerned.  Its on the side of my breast, not far from my areola.  I noticed this morning that it has gotten slightly bigger and its changed color.  It was just pink, like a pimple, but now its purplish.  Its not big or anything, and its still just the size of a large pimple.  I just noticed that it changed.  Its no very painful, just slightly when touched.  Does this sound like a possible problem, or could it just be a nasty pimple?  There doesn't seem to be anything under the surface, or in my actual breast.   Its just on the skin.  TY

To me, that just sounds like a nasty pimple. I'm acne prone though and do get nasty pimples on my body from time to time that just resolve on their own. If you're not seeing any other breast-related symptoms (like knots or lumps), I'd just keep an eye on it.

Good luck!

I could also be an infected montgomery gland. The montgomery glands are the little bumps that become more noticable on the areola and surrounding the areola during pg. However, the treatment is the same.

You can apply a warm wet compress to see if that helps and/or get the OB to look at it when you go for your check up. But likely will go away on it's on.
