Is Obama alienating Catholic voters?

I keep reading about how Obama is alienating Catholic voters with the requirement that all private healthcare plans cover birth control.  Several of those articles mentioned that 98% of Catholic women have used some form of birth control.  An article I read this morning (http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/02/07/catholics-support-contraception-mandate_n_1261046.html) even said that Catholics support this new healthcare mandate.  This is based on a study that was done by the Public Religion Research Institute (I don't know anything about this group).

Do you feel that this mandate is alienating Catholic voters?

Sure it is affecting the Catholic voters.  I will not be voting for Obama.  He is going against many things I believe in.  That the church teaches us.  This I heard will affect voters of other Christian Denominations.

I sure hope he's alientating Catholics, because that means he won't get a 2nd term. He can't get out of office soon enough for me.

His blatant disregard of our free exercise of our religion should put him up for impeachment. What kind of president does that? That is one of the major points of being American!! I didn't vote for him the first time and I sure as heck am not voting for him this time.

I agree. I just hope Romney isn't the alternative, because I really don't think he's all that different. I'm really not at all impressed with the pool of candidates for 2012.

Yep! I think it's also sad how most news agencies have their own political agenda and imply certain candidates will or will not be sucessful. What happened to reporting facts? Editorials are great - but man can not live by opinions alone. ;-)
