I am 20 years old. just had my beautiful daughter 3 months ago but am really scared I might be pregnant again. I Had my last period end about 11 to 12 days ago maybe a little sooner or later by a few days. I can remember exactly. I know I started my period though around the middle of the month, towards the end of the middle. I had sex before my period unprotected, and during my period and after. all unprotected. I didnt think I would be ovulating so I didnt worry about protection. For the last 2 weeks or so I have been nauseaus off and on, had random low grade fevers, pretty intense abdominal cramping off and on for the last week, dizziness and lightheadedness.. I have taken two urine tests but both negaitve. Is it possible that I am still pregant even thuogh its not showing on a test? When I got pregnant the first time the only sign I had were dry breats, and didnt start having morning sickness or anything until I was about 7 weeks... so I am not sure what is or isnt normal right now if I am pregnant and its not even showing on a test yet. help please?

Are you breastfeeding? Maybe your hormones are just not back to normal yet?

Ovulation is usually about 14 days after your period and if you had unprotected sex up to 5 days prior to O it is possible that you could be pregnant. Some women report symtoms within days of conception....usually they don't start until after implantation(between 7 to 9 days after O).. when the preg hormones begins to increase...fx crossed you get the results you're hoping for!!

When did your last period start? That would be day 1 of your cycle. Most women ovulate between days 12-16 (depending on their exact cycle). Sperm can live inside of you for up to a week (though usually 3-5 days), so it's possible that the unprotected sex you had meant you had semen inside of you when you ovulated.

Once the egg is fertilized, it takes 3-10 days for implantation to occur (depending on how it goes). Once the egg is implanted in your uterus, your body will start making HCG, which is responsible for pregnancy symptoms.

I'd recommend waiting a your period is actually due before testing to be sure your body has enough time to make a high enough level of hcg for a HPT to detect. Good luck!

well my last period was either on the 14th of jan or literally right around that time. I am not breastfeeding anymore. I am not getting to much cramping anymore that has gone away, but my headaches are pretty bad, and diziness... I have been really emotional as well which could be that my period is gonna be here soon maybe.. I usually only have 4 days cycles at most but my last period was a bit longer by a day or so. I had unprotected sex before my period and after my period.. The whole ovulation thing confuses me so could u help me understand when I could have ovulated if the first day of my last period was the 14th of jan? thanks much!

January 14th would have been day 1 of your cycle then. Since most women usually ovulate between day 12 and 16, I'd say you could have ovulated around January 25 - January 29th. If you have normal 28 day cycles, your period would be due to start tomorrow. So, if your period doesn't show in the next few days, you should take a pregnancy test. Good luck!
