I had my blood work done last Wednesday. I was worried that they would find something wrong with me... This morning the nurse finally called with the results. My a1c was 6.9. Fasting glucose 161 Cholesterol 174, hdl 49, ldl 106. Tryglicerides 94. CBC was normal as was my thyroid. She said though they would like my a1c to be lower, but she said he wasn't concerned and she thinks that is because my tryglicerides are so good. Do it again in 3 months! I told her the a1c didn't surprise me because I have been very munchie with the holidays. (actually I was afraid it would be over 7.... so can you say pleasantly surprised? lol)

Glad your results were good. I don't expect mine to be anywhere near that good. I have to get it done before I see my endo and my primary care doc in two weeks. I did manage to get through the holidays without gaining any weight.

Sounds like great cholesterol readings.  The glucose ones although not great, do not appear to be that bad.  I will say I would scream if my A1C was that  high, but that is  cuz my high till now has been 6.3 I think.  I think my guardian angel is helping me with the glucose numbers.  I have not been real good lately food wise and testing wise. Had only planned to be by sister for Xmas and back home, a day or 2 later. she fussed so i agreed to stay thru New Years. I stayed with a friend of hers instead of her house, so did not hear hubby whining. Which is good cuz I woulda found it hard  to stay quiet.  Apparently BIL told sister today I DID NOT BUY and give her the first laptop....he says she bought it.  Lets just say it has me ticked!!!!   She needs a computer for her job......she has to continue working because he wont use anything from parents inheritance for living expenses.  OK will now stopranting.  sorry!!  

All in all your numbers are very good especially with it being right during the holidays!!
