Notsochipper. Can understand your being frustrated. You might want to see if there is any type of diabetes group locally. Seem to recall visits to the diabetes educator would not be covered by your insurance. Am wondering if the insurance plan has anyone to deal specifically with diabetics. Maybe if they do you could get some help there. This should at least be a nurse. Other possibility is if you get hospitalized for lows, see if a visit in the hospital from diabetic educator would be covered as part of your stay.
Would also call the doctors office and ask to talk to either doctor or NURSE. Then ask they what you are supposed to do when you have lows which will likely be more frequent if you up the insulin.
There is hope, but I know it is hard to see it some times. Will tell you this, in really rotten times, I gave up on taking things one day at a time. Those times I wasdoing good to take it an hour or even 5 minutes at a time.
Be sure in treating lows that you do what MaryFrances recommends. If you just take simple carbs to get your number up fast it may raise fast but then can nosedive. That is why you need to do it the way she recommends.
We are here for you. If you want to come on and rant about how you are treated fine. If you want to get info from us we will do what we can.
I hear you on your internet problems. Not sure if part of the problem is just the connection or if your computer is part of it. You might try downloading a cleaner program. Cnet has a link to ccleaner. One problem though is i just pulled up the link and its 3.42 MB so you might have problems downloading it. if you can it is free. other thing would be to be sure and clean out your cache and your temporary internet pages. in one way that might make it slower because sometimes what you are looking at is old internet pages, but just cleaning the cache should help. I am not a techie person, but have learned some bits and pieces. I also had a dialup for a very long time and even drove norton security techs bonkers when i had problems trying to download an update. they gave up and sent me a CD of the program after my link even crashed the techies link to me.
ON exercising if nothing else try to get one of the walking programs if nothing else. Leslie sansone has a bunch of them, you can find even less than $10. you might also find them at a library. try using one and if you cant handle the one mile tape(15 minutes or so) just start out trying to do part of it. I can promise that once you do get back into exercising it will lift your mood a lot. If you read some of the posts MaryFrances did on how to eat before you exercise it might have you feel more in control.
