Do you care at all about candidates' wives?

I started watching these videos about the Republican candidates' wives and thought "Huh, I really don't care much." then quickly realized that it's probably because I don't care for the candidates themselves. Obviously the wives are not the ones who will be running the country, but there is something to be said about who a person chooses for his partner in life.

Hadn't given them much thought.  Callista is pond scum--it takes two to have an affair and she knew what she was doing.  Karen Santorum has an interesting past, though my objection to her would be the man she ultimately married since he's such a bigot.  The little I have heard of Ann Romney makes me think she might be a better presidential candidate than her husband.  Of Carolyn Paul, I know nothing.

We'll learn a lot more about the spouse, once the candidate is official.  Probably won't be pretty stuff, but then again, politics rarely is.

No can't say I'm interested in any of them. In 2008, I didn't like Mrs. Obama. I'm not wild about her, but I'm sure she is much better then any of the others would be.

I haven't looked at them...I don't like Newt's wife hair :smileyhappy: As a conservative I am not thrilled with any of them running, with maybe the exception of Ron Paul....and I liked Cain....I am still going through what the candidates are about and haven't thought about their wives.

I know a little about Romney's wife and Santorum's wife because they've been in the news the most but I don't pay much attention to them now....  I like to find out what causes First Ladys pick up and why. I also look forward to reading their Memoirs after their husbands leave office, I wasn't a big fan of Laura Bush when she was First Lady but I discovered a very different and amazing side about her after reading her book.
