Advice for requests close to parking at POP

I have us booked in a preferred room but after looking at the resort map I think those rooms are really far from the parking lots! Anyone know if I should just request close to parking and stay in the preferred section or if I should opt out of preferred and get closer to the parking lots. It is much more important for us to be close to the car as my kids tend to fall asleep driving and can easily be carried back to the room sleeping!

1970s is FAR away from parking (so 1960s is probably worse). 1980s and 1990s were pretty close to parking, though. Looks like some of the 1950s would be okay, and some not.

Close to parking is more important to me than close to lobby or close to pools.

Thanks! I figured you would know! :smileyhappy: I am going to call and switch our resi to non preferred. Being close to the car is MUCH more important to me than the pool! I had really booked preferred because I thought the theming was cuter for the kids but that's not enough to make walk with sleeping kids who are 30 and 40 pounds now, never mind in October!

Our best parking situation ever was last trip...All Star Music, Broadway building. But the 70s building was absolutely our worst parking ever (so glad we didn't have 60s).

I wasn't carrying a kid, but I was the family pack mule...ugh!
