Microdermabrasion- on UPPER EYELIDS??

I had a Microdermabrasion done at a place called Sensational Skin. They use a Diamond Tone machine. They ran the wand over my UPPER EYELIDS?? I was not informed they would do such a thing and I was always told NEVER mess with the upper eyelids, that the skin was too delicate. I have found my lids now have loose skin and I am very unhappy. They told me the manufacturer of the Diamond Tone says it is perfectly safe to use their machine over the upper eyelids. Well, I am 53 and my skin was nice and tight. not anymore. Has anyone ever experienced having the upper eyelids microdermed? If so, what was your outcome?

Hi Sasvet and *WELCOME* to the Skin Care & Anti-Aging board. Thank you for joining us on this informative and fun message board! I don't have any experience with microdermabrasion but I simply cannot fathom why the upper eyelids would need anything like this! That skin is so delicate and thin. Usually eyelid surgery is done to tighten the skin there. Anyway, just as a personal opinion I think eyelid microdermabrasion is not an option I would choose!
Good luck and if you need help with eye products let us know.
Smiles,
Donna :-)

I totally agree with you on eyelids should never be done..If I had known they were going to do it, I would have vehemently told them NOT to do it..I, nor others I have talked to do not know any benefit to them doing that..my opinion, ignorance...I am going to check with the manufacturer to find out if indeed, they really agree it is OK to do such a thing like the Spa said they did.

I have done my own microdermabrasions for about a year. About every other time I use it I do my eyebrow/upperlid area (weekly x 2 or 3). I have had no problem in doing so. The granules in the cream I use with the applicator is gentle as doing just a plain old good exfoliation. I actually feel it has improved my eye are over time and am happy with my results. Theres always two sides two all our anti-aging experiences.
