Here are some more pics from when we were driving around in the bus on the way to the spanish steps.

I have to admit when I think of Italy, neither pine nor palm trees would ever have crossed my mind.    Just doesn't seem Italian.    Olive trees, sure. . . .grape vines, oh yeah.    But pine/plam, no.

Love the buildings.   They sure built with style back then. . . .

Since 1989?  How nice of them to have snow for your visit!   Extra special!!

What we mostly saw, besides the pine trees, were orange trees and then these trees that I believe she said were poplars but we call them birch I think. They are white trees and their bark collects the pollution and turns black and falls off and then they are white again. They line the Tiberius river. In this last photo, it's the Prada and Missoni store. Right by the Spanish steps are the most exclusive boutiques. Very chi chi poo poo.

That is just so cool. Makes me want to take my kids to another country just so they can experience it. Maybe we'll go to Canada. :smileywink:
