A Finishing Frenzy!
Over on Cross Stitch Crazy, they are participating in WIPocaplyse 2012 but one of the forum moderators also issued a secondary challenge --- a Finishing Frenzy. We were supposed to get at least one ornament that was already stitched but lying about in a "to be finished" pile before we took down our Christmas Decor (which reminds me, I need to do that today! ).
Well, you know me, I can't resist a challenge! LOL SO I finished 8 (count 'em, EIGHT) ornaments yesterday in a span of about 2 hours. Yes, I actually turned on my sewing machine! LOL Some of these had been sitting around since 2007!
These Valentine ornies were stitched in 2008...
These three Christmas ornies were circa 2007
This one I stitched in 2010
And this one in 2008
All SanMan Original freebies.
I really prefer flat finishes of late but they take too long to do (all that hand sewing) so I chickened out and did pillows instead!

Finishing Frenzy is continuing over on Cross Stitch Craay, with themed finishes each Thursday. Last week, it was bugs and I did my butterfly pillow - a 14" square needlepoint piece I had stitched back in 2006:
This week it was hearts and I had "Coeur de letrres", an 11" x 7" piece I had stitched back in 2009:

Oh, those are all very nice. Cute ornaments! And I really like that Butterfly pillow. You should have such a feeling of accomplishment!

The thrid installment of FInishing Frenzy... I lined these cases! LOL And pricked my thmby badly! Never let a klutz get hold of a really sharp needle!
The one on the left is an ereader case called Coffee Break; the two green ones are a card case called Paisely Jacobean and an eyeglass case called Zen Bamboo. All were kits from Stitch & Zip by Alice Peterson .... I used felt as a lining to cover the needlepoint backs adn teh raw edges of the needlepoint canvas.

Oh nice. I still need to line my eyeglass case I did from Stitch N Zip. The suggestion I got from here to use plastic canvas to stiffen in seems like a good idea. I wonder if that sticky-back felt would work to go over it?
You're just being so impressive with all these projects you're getting finished. Good work!
