A new week, and ne to-do lists (or, if your like me, recycled lists from previous weeks!). So...anyone have any goals accoplished they'd like to brag on?

Last week…

Things didn't go quite as planned because on Wednesday, the housecleaner found a leak in the hallway off the "new" guest room so, on Friday, I was sitting around waiting for our contractor to come and find just where that leak was coming from. He discovered water dripping from one of the vent pipes from the furnace so the plumber is due here today to see what he has to say. We may end up tearing out ceilings to find the source. Here's hoping it is the plumbing (a lot cheaper than the roof) and that the work is still warrantied because then the work will be on their nickel. But...

Anyway, last week my plans had been

Monday - Well Woman check-up at 10 AM === DONE no word back but I think I'm healthy. At least I've lost a little over 3 pounds since I started walking again!

Tuesday - Girls' Night Out (may not go if the forecast snow happens) === DONE. It did snow, but in the morning so the reads were clear by evening! 

Wednesday

• * housecleaner  === DONE
• * pay bills and balance the accounts === DONE
• *Tax booklet has arrived from accountant so may well try to start teh taxes this week as well! === DONE, well sort of. I got the category summaries printed out at least.

And stitching ---  continue working on "Sewing With Mama" === DONE. Play around with "Kimono- Revisited."  === NOT done. Work on Crazy Quilt Journal/Bead Journal Project piece === DONE and completed, and the last Bargello  project  === DONE and completed. Also 7 ornaments "finsihed" in a Finishing Frenzy!

Continue walking… keep trying for one mile a day.=== DONE  four miles total!

And this week, besides waiting for plumber at 1 - 3 Monday afternoon, my plans are much simpler

Tuesday - Girls' Night Out - we are thinking of not staying for the stamping demo but simply crafting at home...

Wednesday

• * housecleaner

• * work on the taxes! 

And stitching ---  continue working on "Sewing With Mama". Play around with "Kimono- Revisited." 

Continue walking… keep trying for one mile a day, weather permitting.

LAST WEEK

Monday - went to the gym to burn off calories & stress.  Watching movies with cat on my lap to regain my equilibrium.

Tuesday - massage in afternoon DONE, embroidery club in the evening (if predicted ice coating doesn't arrive).   No ice, but I wasn't up to the club meeting.  Mind just not in it.  Reschedule to Thurs. AM.

Weds - gym.  Cut out squares & triangles for quilt, then join them.  Once that part is done, it must wait until my embroidery machine is repaired so that I can do designs on triangles before putting on sashing. DONE  Need to go to Hancocks sale & use senior discount for some outwear fabric to begin Spring jacket.  NOPE - put off until Thursday

Thurs - cut out jacket. NOPE.  Also skipped embroidery club, as DS stopped by to visit & see how we were doing,   Shopped for fabric & pillows for new outdoor cushions, plus jacket fabric.

Friday - gym, then watch DGrDs after school.  SORTA  No gym, did watch girls.

Sat & Sun -  Cut & piece quilt squares.  

Biggest delight of the week was a new mattress.  We had a 10 yr old solid memory foam mattress that got stiff in cold weather & forced my back into uncomfortable positions.  New one is much softer with individual pocketed coils & 3" thick quilt top.  My body just settles in & I sleep like a baby.  DH is also sleeping longer & says he's less stiff (he had never complained about the old mattress, figured it was just old age.  The spine MD had told me that a softer mattress would be better for issues, but I couldn't bring myself to spend more $$.  We gave the foam mattress to eldest DS to try out.  I will ask for future massages to work on shoulders & neck which are getting tender from some much sewing & tax prep at the computer.

THIS WEEK -

Monday - youngest DGrDs were off school, DS let them sleep in a bit & I took them to movie in afternoon.

Tuesday - massage, quilt square assembly.

Weds - Sunday - tax prep, exercise, sew

After all the activity of the last 2 weeks, I'm content to have a clear calendar for a while.
