We love hearing about your grandkids, please tell us about yours!

How many do you have and how old are they?  How do you like to spend time with them?

I'll jump in on this. I have two grandsons and as it stands now, they will be my only grandchildren. Each of my daughters has chosen to have one child. I must admit, I mourn for the "will never have" granddaughter.

My oldest grandson is a freshman in high school. He's always seemed old for his years. Very quiet and soulful. The youngest is 5 and what a charmer! Complete opposite of the older one. But then their Moms' have very different personalities as well. I've babysat both the grandsons from the time they were infants and have treasured every moment.

I have one grandson who is 5, he is a little sweetheart & as good as gold. He was born 10 wks early & as a result of troubles breathing has mobility issues. Ee wears braces on his legs & walks with limps. We have learned to take physical milestones in stride & right now are celebrating that he can walk up 5 stairs without holding on to anything or one & he can walk down 2 stairs doing the same.

He has taught us the value of patience & the joy of the simple things in life. He is bright & there isn't a video game that he hasn't tried that he doesn't like. He may be an only which is ok even though as an only myself I'm not a fan of having one child. He is my DD's son & she is an amazing Mom. Her DH would like another child & so would she but she just lost at baby at 13 wks & feels that maybe she isn't intended to have more. It took her almost 5 yrs to try again after our grandson was born.

My 2 boys have no kids but my youngest is engaged & getting married in 2013. They plan to have kids but not for another 4 or 5 yrs. So until then, I will enjoy the one I have & pray to have more as they are better than kids. They go home when problems start!

It sounds like you have a great relationship with your grandsons :smileyhappy:  Having all boys myself, I'm looking forward to one day having a granddaughter, although I know there are no guarantees.  My aunt has 2 sons, and 3 grandsons :smileyhappy:
