I'm SO glad you posted this- I hadn't heard anything about this.

I LOVE what Ellen said at the end of her monologue about "honesty, compassion, helping others in need being the REAL traditional values".

Looks like I'll be shopping at JcPenney more often, just like I bought more girl scout cookies this year too.

Hi Karla, I saw this on the main board page so hope you don't mind me commenting.

I love Ellen. She is funny and intelligent and very interesting (Did you see her with Michelle Obama-she is in great shape!). When I think of her, I don't think think in terms of gay or lesbian (but then again I am straight so I may not be the best opinion). I thought it was great that JC Penny chose her and I think the controversy is crazy.

Wow. This is the first I'd heard of this. Good for JC Penney for standing behind their decision to use Ellen as their new spokesperson. It amazes me how people who point fingers and preach about traditional values can be such bullies

Ellen is a successful, friendly, loving, powerful woman. JC Penny is smart to have a person of her character as their spokesperson. And I loved Ellen's reply to One Million Moms! Adding "My haters are my motivators" to my list of new favorite sayings!
