March 2012 Expecting Club: Appointment Updates
37 w, possible induction
I have been having more leg swelling and today my bp was up slightly to 124/80 from usually in the 100-110s/70 range. The nurse said still normal. MFM said putting that with my leg swelling is concerning, but not alarming. I have no protein in my urine and Monkey's hb is good. I go back next week and if my swelling continues and bp is up and/or I have protein in my urine I will be induced that week!!! If not, MFM said induction for the week after next. He said at max I have 13 more days and he will not let me go longer than that. We hadn't been talking induction before so I was shocked! I am having a tough time getting my head around the fact that Monkey might be here as early as next week. OMG! What matters, of course, is getting him here safely, but wow!!! I told DH he should get his bag packed this weekend and we should be ready to go on Wednesday just in case.
