I rescued a little puppy on the side of the interstate that I've been told is most likely a pomeranian chihuahua mix. It was estimated to be about 3 months old, and weighs approximately 2 lbs. Does anyone here have an idea of how large this dog will get when full grown? Does anyone know how long the dogs continue to grow? We have decided to keep the puppy (named her Caramel), and I want to purchase a pet taxi for traveling and I want to make sure I get one big enough...

If the guess on your pup's genetic heritage is correct, she'll likely be in the neighborhood of 10 lbs when full grown:

Congrats on the newest member in your family. The pup will grow for a year and I agree with the 10 pounds. What did you name it? Have you seen a vet?

She's a little girl, and we named her Caramel.  She is white with a caramel colored mask on her little face... just adorable.  I will take some pics as soon as I get batteries for my camera.

The vet is who said she is most likely a mix of pomeranian and chihuahua.  She is wormy (typical I'm sure of abandoned puppies) so we wormed her, got shots, etc.
