Hello everybody! (I edited this message...a lot. Way too many words)

I hope you all are doing well, the board has been a bit quiet lately. 

Valentine's Day was very nice for me this year, although AP and I were not able to be together. However...I got flowers, candy, and a love note when I got home from work that night...it was a lovely surprise. We've been spending a lot of time together, feels somewhat surreal. Gotta keep my head out of the clouds, that's for sure!

We will have been seeing each other for almost five years soon, seems like somewhat of a milestone. Even seeing the ex-h at the pub barely registers a blip on the radar anymore, that sure is a good feeling. I can't worry about his disconnect from what used to be our family. Maybe one day we'll be able to talk to each other again, I sincerely hope we can.

His DS (with his GF) was coming into town on the day, and he wasn't sure if they were going to be around or not.  As he had slept over the previous night, and I had to leave for work in the morning...he said he'd keep me updated.

Anyhow, as has been happening quite a bit lately...I went home for lunch that afternoon, and there he was with a lovely lunch all ready for us (I am such a lucky girl). He hadn't heard from his DS at that point, so I went back to work not knowing what was happening. Well, I got a text from him later that afternoon apologizing because he wouldn't be able to spend the evening with me. I was a trifle bummed, but not really because lately every day has been like Valentine's...we are spending SO MUCH time together.

So...I get home after work and there is a vase with some pink carnations, a good quality chocolate, a jar of organic peanut butter that had my (real) name on it (cute) and the note he'd attached to the video of the table he'd made me. This note said: "Hi (insert name)!! Je' Taime' xxxxoooo". I can honestly say it was one of the best Valentine's Days ever! I had no idea he could be so sweet.

 It was a sad anniversary for him this past weekend...it's been a year since his mother passed away, and he decided that we were going to honor her by eating all her favorite foods. Can you say LOBSTER? It was a feast like I'd never had before, and it was then that I found out that the flowers he had bought me were her favorites as well. I was so touched, you have no idea. 

I am beyond spoiled now, and while I am enjoying it immensely...I am scared spitless, somewhat, too. I try not to think about that....no need to get the squirrels rampaging so late in the game! It's a very uncertain time for me, but I am going to enjoy it to the fullest...he is just such a great guy. I cannot believe his wife doesn't want him!

We will be having our five year anniversary very soon...I am amazed.

Sounds like things are going well for you.  I'm glad.

Just an FYI...I got a tattoo to commemorate our 5th.  Everyone loves it, but he's the only one who knows the meaning behind it.

Oooh, very curious another! AP would kick my arse though...he's kind of old fashioned , in a peculiar sort of way. I once had the idea of getting a portrait of my mother, his reaction was not favorable...although that is not the reason why I didn't get it. Just don't trust these artists...I have had real bad luck in the past, five tattoos and three removals. Plus, I am now WAY too old ;0)
