Had the exam today and all looked good..

only issue is with Baby C.  She has a calcium deposit on her heart, which is a marker for downs :smileysad:  but they said it's only something of interest because I'm over 35.  If I was 34 they wouldnt even mention it.  She had  no other signs, no other markers.  neck, nose, etc were all good and measuring on time.  She said not to worry, but .. of course..  I'm worried.

Talked to the Doc about the Internals and not being comfy with the idea of having them EVERY week.  ugh.. I thought it was only every other week..  so that was news today.  Anyhoo..  they said that they want to monitor my cervix and be ahead of the game, not behind it .. and that there was no proof of problems with a non ruptured cervix.

So basically I agreed to the transvaginal u/s at my ultrasound appts..   but not the digital (finger) checks at every prenatal.  That I would consider it if there was a medical issue..  but that I wasn't comfy with the idea of jeopardising the babies at such a young age in development.  That I'd be willing to do them at 28 weeks.

He agreed and said "you're the boss"..  and that he'd speak with the team..  so we shall see what happens at next  week's prenatal.

Oh try not to worry, one marker out of so many, it's scary but shouldn't be. :-)

I'm glad it went well over all and I totally agree with your point about not having anything beyond the u/s unless necessary.

Sounds like it went well overall! I's impossible not to worry. Over the course of my pregnancy I must have thought there were at least 18 things wrong based on a "little this" or a "little that", but was fortunate enough to have two healthy babies at the end of it all. Sometimes we have too much information I think...

Thanks girls..

They said it isn't something they even mention to someone who's 34 or younger.  So that made me feel better... old.. but better :smileyhappy:

I have been seeing my High Risk OB weekly since week 12. It's not too bad, but the last 2 visits they did measure my cervix with the vaginal u/s and I'm thinking this is going to continue weekly. I typically get in weekly or every week and a half to see them. I continue to see my regular OB every other week but his visits are just peeing in a cup and having my blood pressure taken! He always runs us on the u/s machine real quick to catch all the babies' heartbeats and then we are good to go. They have already put me on bed rest so yesterday was my last day of work for awhile, if I even decide to go back!

Hoping all your little ones are doing great and that the calcium deposit is nothing to worry about. It looks like our genders are as follows: Baby A is a boy and the Baby B, C, and D are girls! They have told me this at the last 2 visits but we go again on Wednesday and I'll be 17 weeks so I think we can get a bit more confidence next week as to what we are having!
