Q about travel at 29 wks w/ twins
My sister is getting married at the end of May and I will be 29 weeks PG with twins. I am a bridesmaid, my DD is the flower girl and DH is a groomsman. The wedding is a 9 hour drive away. We would be able to break that in half and stay overnight halfway there w/ frequent stops. There is a town an hour away from the wedding site that has a level III NICU, so that is good.
What do you think my chances are of gettting to go?

I was told no air travel past the 20 week point.. because of mandatory bedrest. ...but no mention of driving, especially with frequent stops.. hmm.. good question.
Have you talked to your Dr about it? Might be good to give them a call and see what they say.
IMO It might be too close to your delivery date. Most twins are born earlier and you dont want to risk being so far away from home or in the middle of nowhere if you start having contractions, etc. Not sure end of May will work for you. Again though, ask your Dr and see what they say.
Grats to your Sister
If the Doc says no, too close... maybe your sister could bump up the date a little or postpone til after? Is everything booked and ready to go?

I am wondering about this too, because I am supposed to present a paper at a conference when I am 28 weeks. It would be a 2-hour plane ride to get there. I'm going to talk to my OB about it tomorrow at my first appointment (just graduated from the RE's office!).

I don't mean to be a downer but there is a very good chance your OB will say no way. I want you to be prepared to hear possible bad news. Good luck!
