What is the most indispensable item in your studio or work space?

We all need needles (of one kind or another), threads (of one kind or another) and, in some cases, fabrics. And many of us have sewing machines as well (Although I suppose they aren't indespensible if you have a fine sewing hand...). But... we have other items in our crafting spaces as well ---  so my question for you today is:

What tool can't you stitch without? What tool makes creating that much easier and more enjoyable?

Yeah --- Abby is behaving EXACTLY like Faith did. But once she started eating again --- watch out! She is a wet catfood girl now and eats like a real pig! And I think those antihistamines, like steroids, make a cat sluggish and downright inactive...

How sad about Glacier! Our cats aren't vaccinated for ANYTHING beyond their kitten shots, being as they are indoor cats. Kinda freaked out the vet when Faith went in... but the breeder was so anti-vaccines that we sort of backed off.  And there is evidence that regular FIV shots can be hazardous to cats' health anyway --- injection site tumors and all, so our vet doesn't believe in them unless the cat is exposed to outdoor cats.

Almost took all three in for vaccination updates but when Faith got better, we never went back. Bad furparents...

I think they transmit the virus by bites... did the new kitten bite Glacier, maybe? And wasn't the new one tested before adoption?

Anyway, I'm keeping my fingers crossed for Glacier and his friend... and that Abby starts eating again.

Harriette had to put Glacier down yesterday. It was finally determined that he had a Lymphoma and only with chemo had about two weeks to live. He bone marrow wasn't making any kind of cells anymore.

Abby has been changed over to prednisone and taken off the antihistamine. She is still snowed. But hopefully she will be eating better.

The other kitten, who's name is Hubbard, test negative for FLV and he is getting the two shot series to protect him. She hasn't decided whether to get another kitty yet because this one has never lived alone. Glacier had a really hard time when his house mate died last year and went into a huge tailspin and she had to get another kitty for him. Hubbard is only about 18 months old.

Abby is doing much better today. In fact she was a hand full for her father and me when we gave her the medicine this morning. She has even played today some. She greeted the cleaning people but then retreated when the vacuuming started. She has eaten better also. She goes back to the vet on Friday and I hope at that time we can stop some of her meds.
