10-week old will not take naps longer than 30-45 minutes

My 10-week old sleeps pretty well at night - not consistent yet, but never wakes up more than twice when I put her down at 6:45 p.m. and she is back up at 7:00 a.m. (either wakes around midnight and 5:00 a.m. to breastfeed - sometimes only wakes once at around 3:00 or 4:00 a.m.).  However, during the day, I can rarely get her to nap longer than 30-45 minutes at a time (about 4 times a day).  Every once in a while, maybe twice a week, she'll pull out a 1.5-2 hour nap.  Generally I put her down and she naps soundly and then wakes after 30-45 minutes...she's smiling when she wakes, but also seems very tired still (still yawning a lot, eyes are heavy when I rock her, etc), so if I rock her for a few minutes and maybe give her a pacifier, she's back down for another 30 minutes or more most times.  I feel like all I do is try to put her to sleep all day though!  And she still seems tired in that she seems to rub her eyes a lot.  I try to never keep her awake more than 90 minutes straight (once a week I got to a Mom's group at church for three hours and she never can nap well there so she's always very tired afterwards - I may drop the group just because of her naps suffering).  Anyway, has anyone else had this issue and had any success "fixing" it?  Do I just need to wait it out?  I have never let her "cry it out" as I'm not quite ready for that when she's only 10-weeks old...and am not quite sure I'll ever be ready for that.

I think this sounds pretty typical. In a perfect world shed take 2-3 1.5 hour naps but we all know that isn't how it goes. Your night time sounds magical ! Is baby breast fed ? She could be hungry maybe. In the early months jt always seemed to me that it was all I did was feed and try to get a nap in and really that Is a you do 10 weeks is so little I personally wouldn't push things and I agree 10 weeks is too early to cry it out 5-6 months is when I think I read that is easiest. I know this seems never ending but it'll get better !

My baby is 11 weeks and only naps 30 to 45 mins. She naps 4 to 5 times a day.
