Thanks for the update - I know it is not the best news, but it is much better then any of the other scenarios you had mentioned. I will continue to hold hope for you that your dream of one more is somewhere in the cards for you - maybe not realistic, but if you still have your parts, perhaps it is not impossible. Did you doctor discuss that with you or are you ready to move on?
I don't know that much about endo and i know you said you are starting birth control pills - does that help to manage it? Are you in pain?
I am very sorry that I don't have many words that can help you to feel any better right now - am thinking of you and wishing you the best. Good luck with school and do keep in touch.
Big hugs, Jasmine

Yes I am in pain 24/7. It's a dull aching pain and sometimes accompanied by sharp pains. The birth control will alleviate the pain and stunt the growth of the endo. When you have your monthly instead of the blood coming out some stays in the body and attaches to organs and the walls of the cavities inside the body. It kinda pulls whatever its attached to together, so thats where the pain comes in. She said women with endo usually get tired of the pain and want a hysterectomy by age 40. Most women in my family has had hysterectomies in their 30's due to cancer. Thats why she was worried about the mass.

After much discussion with DH I think I am going to try something before I turn to BC. I am going to try to loose weight and see if this pain goes away some. I am about 50lbs overweight, not huge but could be adding to it as well. Also with depo provera (BC) I heard from alot of people they put weight on, so I want to be in decent shape and keep the exercising going before I do something that could make me gain more weight.

I still want another. I watched our video of Christmas 2008 when my youngest was a baby and I teared up. I miss those days and want to go through it again. I guess I am hoping maybe if I lose the weight it will help with fertility. I am not giving up hope. I cant just roll over and play dead, I have to try.

I will keep in touch and let you all know when I graduate and become that RN :smileyhappy: But for now I am off to work on my care plan for my patient tomorrow.

You should look into diet changes and vitamins plus a good probiotic - my friend was scheduled for a hysterectomy and she is able to let her body heal through diet! Just something to look into.
