The Circumcision Debate
Article: Circumcised at 33
"Yes, at 33 years of age I was finally getting circumcised, and I couldn’t help but think that having the procedure done when I was an infant could have saved me a hell of a lot of trouble."
Not surprisingly, this comment seems to be getting a lot of attention in the article's comments. In his case, it's probably accurate, though.

Obeygravity,
Thank you very much for your post. I skimmed the link you sent, but it's very late for me at night right now. I will respond fully as soon as I can.

I am a bit surprised that although the doctor was informed enough to suggest creams and stretching, when that failed he jumped to circumcision. I have a suspicion that often the Betamethasone cream regimen is not continued long enough. In cases where it truly fails, then preputioplasty should be the next step. The article does not say, but if Jared was suffering from BXO, then even that is sometimes treated successfully with Carbon dioxide laser treatment. Too often, the medical fraternity does not try hard enough, if at all, to save a foreskin.
