Have you or someone you know ever had a reaction to a vaccine? Was it mild or serious?

My first son had a reaction. The first two shots were considered mild - high fevers, sore swollen arms, relentless crying. Considered normal.

When he got his three set of needles, he had extremely high fever, high-pitched screaming and convulsions. I took him to the hospital and they said that was perfectly normal. This was back in 1975.

I did a lot of research years later, and consider myself and my son lucky that there was no long-term damage ( that I know of)

When my son's child was born, with his first set of needles, the baby stopped breathing. They had to rush him to the hospital. Now my grandson has a legal document from the Ministry of Health that he cannot be vaccinated.

My co-worker Just had a flu shot not too long ago. She has Celiac and has had a very rough year with many different health issues. About an hour or so after she got the flu shot (got it at work), she started having an allergic reaction. She had a friend come and pick her up from work and ended up in the ER. Her throat was closing up on her.

After a couple weeks she had blurred vision and was light-headed/dizzy. 2 weeks ago she had a procedure to check her for menieres disease. I'm sure i spelt that wrong? That came back negative. I've been seeing "Guillan-Bare Syndrome" come up alot online, maybe i'll mention that to her.

I've been trying to find people who have had similar experiences. She does not understand computers whatsoever. She believes that the flu shot is connected to her current situation.

The different health issues i mentioned earlier that she has had this year probably have nothing to do with this. She had a wisdom tooth removed and ended up going back to the dentist every week for 2 months because she was not healing properly and had shards of tooth left in her mouth.

Also, she passed out last summer and when she recieved an IV at the hospital they found a massive blood clot in her arm that took longer than expected to deal with. Not in a main artery but a smaller vein.

I realize this is old, but my 2 year old had high fever for 4 days, his leg at injection site was swollen and blood red from his hip to shin, he screamed for 2 days straight.. i would also like to mention for over a month he stopped interacting with me or anyone for that matter.. and the ped. Had the nerve to tell me it was normal! I delayed his shots after that.. my 1st son had all of his shot on time.. 2nd is now caught up.. and my 3rd baby will be delayed...
