hubby is asking for SCIENTIFIC proof as to why NOT to vaccinate.  without that he isn't really willing to NOT vaccinate this next baby.  please help...    thanks

I was a bit disingenuous - there is a paper from the UK http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/11293683 (but see http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/9363419)

So I think, in combination between the studies in South and Middle America and in Europe, it is pretty clear that breastfeeding totally kicks rotavirus' a@@, however, this only extends as long as you breastfeed and is not very good if you supplement. I would probably not vaccinate a new baby against rotavirus, but I have gotten my a@@ whopped by breastfeeding pro-vaccine friends whose babies (pre-vaccine) had bad rotavirus cases. Risk reduction (~90%) is about the same with breastfeeding or vaccine, but vaccine protection may last longer (and the older the child when they get rotavirus the "easier" it is manageable).
